Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has, in his latest disclosure, indicated that government has allocated some lands in the heart of the city to some private developers to take over.
The said lands, according to the lawmaker, was occupied by members of the judiciary, including Supreme Court justices which have now been pulled down.
According to him, at the time the judges realised that the place had been given to a private developer, they run to their colleague judges to seek an injunction to secure their accommodation, which was breached by the developer and went ahead to pull down three more structures occupied by the judges.
Speaking on Onua TV’s morning show, ‘Maakye’, with Yaa Titi Okrah on Monday, July 15, 2024, the lawmaker submitted documents from the court detailing the various buildings that have been pulled down, with their locations.
In an earlier engagement on TV’s KeyPoints Saturday, July 13, 2024, the MP had said that his generation of leaders only came to sell state assets, considering the number of state properties being sold to private developers.
