The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has announced for the attention of the public that it is commencing the 2024 light crop cocoa season on June 21.

A release signed by the Chief Executive Monday, June 17, 2024, relayed the information.

A load of 30 kilograms for Grades I and II of the beans, according to COCOBOD’s statement, will sell at GHC993.60.

The statement also says government is going to purchase the 64 kilogram gross bag of the bean for GHC2,070.00.

Meanwhile, a tonne of the cash crop comprising 16 bags now sells at GHC33,120.00 per the Monday release.
