Ghana’s Black Queens were on Friday, November 22 drawn in Group C of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be held in Morocco.
The Ghanaians, who are returning to the tournament after missing the 2022 edition, will play defending champions South Africa, Mali and Tanzania in their group.
The draw for the tournament was held live on the CAF channel.
Hosts Morocco were drawn in Group A to play Zambia, Senegal and DR Congo.
In Group B are record champions Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana.
Winners and runners-up of each group, together with two top third-placed nations, will make the quarter-finals.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in June-July but had to be rescheduled by the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) at a meeting mid-year.
The meeting decided to reschedule the 15th edition of the WAFCON to start on Saturday, July 5, 2025 and end on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
