The First Lady, Lordina Mahama, has shared with all mothers in the country, a heartfelt message of appreciation on the occasion of Mother’s Day celebration commemoration across the globe today.
In a statement shared from her outfit Sunday, May 11, 2025, the First Lady reminded all mothers in the country to see Mother’s Day as “an opportunity to pause and honour the incredible strength, unwavering love, and countless sacrifices that mothers make daily.”
According to her, “we are the pillars of our homes and the heartbeat of our nation”, adding that it is mothers that “nurture the future.”
In laying the groundwork for a compassionate society, Lordina Mahama indicated that it is the “nurturing hands, wise counsel, and unconditional assistance” of mothers that “foster strong families and communities” to make that happen.
She acknowledged the efforts mothers put in place on a daily basis to ensure their families have better lives, reemphasising the fact that the well-being of every home and the children in it which “is intrinsically linked to the progress and stability of our nation” stem from mothers.
