The organisers of the 2025 President’s Cup have paid a courtesy visit to the Commercial Centre of Accra Hearts of Oak as part of activities ahead of the prestigious fixture against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.
During the visit, the Planning Committee officially presented a specially designed matchday jersey to the club.
The jersey, proudly designed in the club’s traditional red, yellow, and blue colours, was handed over by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. John Ansah, who is also the Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).
It was received on behalf of the club by the Managing Director, Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah.
The jersey was designed and printed by Kwab Asamoah of Kustomlooks Clothing, GH.
This year’s President’s Cup, scheduled for Sunday, July 6 at the Accra Sports Stadium, comes with a refreshing twist.
The theme for this year’s edition focuses on environmental sustainability.
As part of this initiative, GreenFutbol in partnership with GHALCA and other key stakeholders has made arrangements for an electric bus to transport both teams from their camping points to the match venue — a symbolic gesture to promote clean energy and climate consciousness in football.
Dr. Delali Adiamah expressed gratitude to the organisers and the jersey manufacturer.
“We thank the organisers, GHALCA and Mr. Asamoah, for their gesture, and I use this opportunity to call on all Phobians, far and near, to show up on 6th July and be the 12th player. Let’s come together to support Hearts and help lift Ghana football as these two great clubs do their part on the day on the pitch. The jersey is beautiful and well thought through. This is very traditional.”
The President’s Cup continues to honour the sitting President of Ghana while promoting unity, sportsmanship, and environmental responsibility — with Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko ready to write another exciting chapter in their legendary rivalry books.
