Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, has, as part of his stakeholder engagements, spoken with traders at the Takoradi Market Circle, ahead of the presentation of the 2026 Budget statement and economic policy of the government.
According to him, his engagement with traders in the Western region was humbling and inspiring, indicating the government’s efforts to make the economy conducive for businesses was coming to fruition.
“It was clear that our efforts to stabilise the economy are beginning to bear fruit,” the Minister said after the interaction. “Many spoke of easing prices, renewed confidence, and a growing sense that the tide is finally turning in their favour.”
This was part of the government’s plan to ensure the 2026 Budget statement depicts the hopes, aspirations, realities and expectations of the average Ghanaian.
The Finance Minister is expected to present the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
