A 30 -year-old man believed to have stolen a mobile phone has been killed by an angry mob in Adum, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
Reports say the suspects were three in number, but two were able to escape unhurt.
The deceased met his untimely death on Wednesday, March 26 2025.
He was reportedly accused of stealing a mobile phone in Adum around the Boss FM area and was subsequently apprehended by the angry mob.
They subjected him to severe beatings, leading to his death.
According to a report, the situation was brought to the attention of the Police by some of the traders around the area.
Eyewitnesses explained that the young man was lynched at the scene of the event before the arrival of the Police.
The body has since been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for preservation.
The Police are actively pursuing the perpetrators involved in the fatal mob incident, as authorities aim to address the tragic event and bring justice to the situation.
