The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Tano North in the Ahafo region, Dr. Gideon Boako, is confident of winning the seat for the governing NPP in the upcoming elections.
The seat, currently occupied by the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Freda Akosua Oheneafrewo Prempeh, according to Dr. Boako, is going to be maintained by the party.
The spokesperson and personal aide to Dr. Bawumia, speaking to residents of Duayaw Nkwanta, at the wrap up of the NPP flag bearer’s two-day tour of the Ahafo region Saturday, November 03, 2024, noted that there is nothing the opposition party would do to flip the seat from the NPP.
He urged the residents to vote massively for the Vice President, promising to make history in the constituency come December.
“Whatever the NDC will do, even if they eat bags of salt, I will win the seat, nothing will change, because I know you have accepted me and I also love you. We will continue to serve. I will continue the good work of my predecessors, and we plead for your support. I’m pleading with you to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he was confident.
On his part, the Vice President and flag bearer of the NPP noted that his party is not going to grant attention to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) whom he says has resorted to insults after sensing defeat in the upcoming polls.
He says they are going to concentrate on their campaign which he knows will win them the elections knowing the good works the administration has done the past eight years.
“The NDC sensing that they’re losing the election have resorted to insults, they have been insulting us. I believe you have heard some of the insults. We will not pay attention to them, we are confident of winning the elections. We will win the elections because of our good work.
“We’re focused on embarking on developmental projects for all communities, we have developed the country. I know your concern is the road, the road from Tepa to Duayaw Nkwanta is bad. I want you to commit all the roads in my hands, I will fix the roads when I become President. I will also construct a district hospital at Dormaa,” Dr. Bawumia promised.
