Five (5) cell inmates at the Awutu Beraku Police cells have been recaptured after attempting to escape.
The five, kept in a dilapidated structure rented by the Service are said to have chiseled the structure’s burglar proof to make their way out according to close sources who spoke with Onua News’ Nana Yaw Asare.
Reports indicate this is the second time such incident is happening considering the lose structure within which both the police officers and inmates are kept.
The one-storey has cracks with partly removed roofing exposing the structure to both rainfall and the scorching rays of sunlight.
The suspects have since been sent to another police cell at Awutu Beraku awaiting further action from the police.
