Italian Serie A side Genoa CFC have announced the signing of Italy striker Mario Barwuah Balotelli.
The maverick footballer is said to have signed a one-year contract with the Red and Blues.
He has been handed the Number 45 jersey.
The 34-year-old signs for the Griffins after almost four years out of the top-flight Italian league.
He last played in the league in 2019/20 for Brescia despite later signing for Monza in the Italian Serie B. Monza were promoted to the top-tier the following season.
Until the new deal, Balotelli played for Adana Demirspor in the Turkish Super League.
His senior career saw him play for the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Inter Milan and AC Milan previously.
He was last called up for the Azzuris on January 24, 2022 for a three-day camping.
Balotelli is expected to help the campaign of Genoa, who currently lie 18th in the 20-club league.
They have won only once out of nine games this season.
