Mustapha Foyo Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said his party is going to police the Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) come December 07.
He says they will surround him throughout the day to foil the rigging tactics of the governing NPP.
Gbande alleges President Akufo-Addo has said the election results would be presented by Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the NPP chair of the Ashanti region also known as ‘Wontumi’.
But to him, there is no way Wontumi can machinate any rigging tactic in the region since the NDC will monitor him from the eve of December 06 till the elections are over.
Speaking with Nana Yaa Brefo Danso on Onua FM’s morning show, ‘Yen Nsempa‘ Tuesday, November 12, 2024, he said the NDC will not give Wontumi the space to breath on December 07 to rig the elections.
“It doesn’t matter how much money they share, they will lose and I can tell you that they won’t rig a single ballot paper in Ashanti region this year. Nana Addo says Wontumi will bring the results, we’ll gather around him and Wontumi will not move an inch and if he is a man, let him make a wrong step.” he stated.
