Ashanti regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who is also known as ‘Wontumi‘, is confident the elephant fraternity will retain power after this year’s elections.
He has said the December 2024 polls is non-negotiable for the Vice President and flag bearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia.
Wontumi, who has earlier indicated that the governing NPP has one million ways of winning elections, addressing a crowd in the Kwadaso constituency of the Ashanti region Thursday, November 14, 2024, stated that the NPP will win the December polls either “by land, sea or air.”
The Chairman who was visibly charged at the mini rally told the gathering that he was going to speak in English since residents of Kwadaso were learned and addressed them as follows:
“I just want to tell you that on the 7th December, we are winning the power. The power belongs to us. The winning is in our side. The victory is in your side. The victory is in our side. We are winning. Ghana is changing. Ghana is developing. We are wining by air by land by sea. The winning on the 7th December is non-negotiable. Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia will win. The winning is in our side.”
His address was during the Vice President’s campaign tour to the Ashanti region where he held a mini rally in the Kwadaso constituency.
During his speech, the Vice President promised to recruit 5,000 youth from the constituency under the job and skills programme he intends to introduce if elected.
He appealed to the chiefs, clergy and Muslim clerics to vote for him to enable him continue with the good works that are already ongoing, and to also help him put his vision for the youth to fruition.
