John Dramani Mahama has promised to make the voices of every citizen heard to help build the nation Ghanaians voted overwhelmingly for.

The President-elect, in his New Year message to the nation expressed his hopes of aggregating the contributions of each citizen to help build a country that reflects the collective hopes and dreams of everybody.

He has reemphasised the need to tackle corruption and reduce government expenditure to utilise the excesses in other areas of interest for the state.

John Mahama has promised to right the wrongs of the current administration in his quest to resetting the nation back to its former glory.

“My vision for our great nation includes a lean, efficient government that is responsive to your aspirations as a proud Ghanaian. We will work tirelessly to correct the outgoing administration’s many wrongs, tackle corruption with dogged determination, and reduce excessive government expenditures.

“Each citizen’s voice will be heard, and together, we will build a Ghana that reflects our collective hopes and dreams—the Ghana we all want and voted convincingly for,” he stated.

The former President has also reassured the nation of a new chapter with his 24-hour economy policy to reduce the teeming unemployment in Ghana.

In his message to Ghanaians Wednesday, January 01, 2024, the President-elect stated that “this year marks not merely the beginning of another chapter but a renewed promise to you— a promise of hope, progress, and shared prosperity.”

“In the coming months, we will embark on a purposeful, enthusiastic and enterprising journey to reset the Ghanaian economy for growth and jobs,” he added, assuring Ghanaians of his resolve to put to fruition, his main campaign message for the December 2024 elections.

“My administration is committed to implementing our 24-hour economy policy—expanding job opportunities and transforming Ghana into an export-driven economy. Together, we will create an environment that fosters entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development, ensuring that our youth can achieve their dreams right here at home,” he assured.
