Prince Anuwar-Sadat Amadu, President and Country Director of Future Leaders Model United Nations, Ghana (FLMUN-Ghana), took center stage at the 2025 United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Partnership Forum in New York, advocating for youth leadership in climate action.
Speaking at the high-level forum, held under the theme “Advancing Sustainable, Inclusive, Science- and Evidence-Based Solutions for the 2030 Agenda,” Prince Sadat emphasized the critical role of young leaders in driving climate resilience, sustainable policies, and global partnerships.
He addressed policymakers, civil society, and global leaders, Prince Sadat highlighted the transformative work of FLMUN-Ghana, including: Tree Planting Projects to combat deforestation, Renewable Energy Advocacy for sustainable energy solutions, Waste Management Campaigns to promote recycling, and Global Diplomacy Engagements to connect young leaders with international stakeholders.
“Young people are not just stakeholders in climate action—we are the driving force behind real change. Investing in youth-led solutions ensures a sustainable and inclusive future,” he said.
Prince Sadat stressed the need for stronger partnerships and investment in youth innovation, aligning with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
“Governments and private sector actors must bridge the gap between policy and grassroots action. We need urgent investments in climate adaptation strategies that empower young leaders,” he urged.
With a strong background in international relations, Prince Sadat has represented Ghanaian youth at global events such as COP26 in Glasgow and the World Petroleum Council Congress in Texas.
He holds a master’s degree in International Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in law.
As Future Leaders MUN-Ghana expands its global advocacy for climate action and sustainable development, Prince Sadat’s participation in ECOSOC 2025 reaffirms the power of youth in shaping the future.
