Casual workers at the Tamale Central Hospital, which also serves as the Northern Regional Hospital, have embarked on an indefinite strike.
The workers have laid down their tools over months of unpaid allowances.
Following the development, the Medical Superintendent of the Northern Regional Hospital, Dr. Bashiru Abdul Majeed, has said the situation will affect them greatly.
He tells TV3’s Northern Regional correspondent, Christopher Amoako, that the strike will further exacerbate the challenges they are going through.
“Our situation has deteriorated further. Our casuals have embarked on strike and this will further expose our woes,” he said.
