Ghanaian dancehall king Shatta Wale says enviousness is the main reason why some people have failed to progress in life.
The SM boss was responding to critics on Nigerian TikToker Peller’s recent visit to Ghana, hosted by the dancehall king at his Trasacco residence in Accra.
Peller was received with wild cheers when he arrived at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra on Friday, April 11, 2025 with Shatta Wale as both stars toured the streets as part of the visit to the country.
The rising Nigerian TikToker also had to privilege to meet the legendary VIP group at their base in Nima.
Reacting to media commentators, the Demi God hit maker lambasted critics, citing envy as a major factor for their actions.
“You were born in Ghana and you have created a certain mentality or mind-set; bro, you will work hard, go to school, and finish, get Pantang degree, Asylum degree and every degree in your life but you can’t make it like Peller”.
“You see Shatta Wale and say what is he doing and all that but bro it’s favour; sometimes you people go to church ‘God I pray for favour’, ‘I pray for favour’ but I am here and I am the favour”.
He urged people to watch and support what he does rather than envy, in order to receive favour from God.
“Some of you can’t even say what Peller does if you are asked to explain and what is happening to Peller, nobody in the world can explain, it’s God,” he stressed.
According to the ‘Accra’ hit maker, Peller has been communicating with God for years and insists, envying one another can lead to death. “If you say you will envy, you will die or you will not make it in life, and you can ask people who are envious, they have degrees in envy and are not happy in their homes but will come, sit and pretend to be happy so just build your life in Christ,” he concluded.
