Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025, returned from a foreign trip following a break from official duties last month.
The Asante King was received at the Prempeh I International Airport with a colourful welcome by the members of the Ashanti Regional house of chiefs and others.
He was also greeted by a delegation from the Ashanti Regional Security council and the general public.
The delegation was led by Juabenhene, Nana Otuo Sereboe II and Asafohene, Akyeamffuo Asafo Boakye Agyemang.
Others include former MP for Ma hyia South and Vice_ Presidential candidate for NPP in 2024 General Elections, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh ( Napo), KMA boss, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, GOC of the Central Command of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier Mathew Opoku and the Ashanti Regional Police Commander , DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjo.
Asantehene was then driven to the Manhyia Palace,where he is expected to rest and resume his leadership duties over Asanteman and National issues.
His point of call from the airport was the residence of Asante Hemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
Asantehene is also expected to resume mediation on the Bawku Conflict on 28th April, 2025.
