The University of Ghana’s Academic Board has suspended some 14 students for two academic years for disorderly behaviour and failure to comply with orders from the University authorities.

This is contained in a press release issued by the Registrar, Emelia Agyei-Mensah, dated June 16, 2025

“Reference is made to the decision of the Academic Board that the names of employees and students sanctioned for disciplinary
misconduct should be published. The following students have been sanctioned for various offenses as listed,”Mrs Agyei-Mensah wrote.

The list reveals a wide range of offences and corresponding penalties which include and are not limited to; suspensions, expulsion for Impersonation, and award of Grade Z and X for possession of unauthorized electronic devices (mobile phones, smartwatches) among others.

A total of 115 students and employees of the University have been affected by the disciplinary action.
