Immediate past Head Coach of Hearts of Oak Aboubakar Ouattara has been named Coach of the Month in the final honours for the just-ended Ghana Premier League.
Ouattara, who has been replaced by Mas-Ud Didi Draman at Hearts, beat competition from Karela United FC’s Nurudeen Amadu and Vision FC’s Nana Kweku Agyemang to win the award.
In the month under review, May/June, the Ivorian tactician won six out of seven matches, drawing only one – against Asante Kotoko.
Across those seven matches, the Phobians conceded only once while putting seven in their opponents’ goal.
No wonder the club’s goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, was also adjudged the Goalkeeper of the Month.
The Player of the Month, however, went to Nations FC’s Kelvin Ampoful.
