The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has asked the chiefs and people of Komenda in the Central Region to be patient while government works at addressing developmental challenges.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang and other government officials called on the chief of the Komenda Traditional Area, Okatakyie Komeh VIII at his Palace to thank him and his subjects for their support and prayers before and after the 2024 elections.

The Chief, Okatakyie Komeh VIII requested from the Vice President and her government to expedite action in revamping the Komenda Sugar Factory to create jobs for the youth in the town and other persons.

He also asked for renovation and retooling of the Komenda College of Education as well as expand the Landing Beach for the fisherfolks to stay in business.


Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang noted the concerns of the Chief and asked him and his people to be patient as government is working to ensure that every area gets its fair share of development.

Political Advisor to the Vice President, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, said all sectors of the economy under the leadership of John Mahama and Naana Jane are witnessing positive changes, noting a lot more programmes and initiatives being undertaken by government are geared towards enhancing the lives of Ghanaians.

He said the recently read Mid-Year Budget by the Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson was full of good news and Ghanaians should trust President John Mahama to deliver on his promises.
