The Ghana Air Force and the Military High Command have presented GHS 315,000 to the families of the three flight crew who tragically lost their lives in the recent military aircraft crash.
The presentation was made following the state burial held on August 15, 2025, where the nation bid farewell to the fallen servicemen.
According to the Air Force, the donations were mobilized from well-wishers, corporate organizations, and individuals who were moved to support the bereaved families during this difficult period.
Military officials added that more contributions are expected in the coming days.
In addition to the contribution from the Armed Forces, the families were also presented with an undisclosed amount from the Presidency.
Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. General William Agyapong, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families and assured them of the government’s continued support.
“In addition to what we have given out today at the national level, the government is planning a holistic package for all affected individuals,” Lt. General Agyapong stated.
He further emphasized the need for a Child Care Support Fund to safeguard the welfare of dependents of fallen personnel.
“What is the fate of our children if such situations befall us? As an institution, we need to start thinking about setting up a fund to cater for our children if we are in harm’s way,” he stressed.

The families of the three fallen flight crew were also presented with plaques in honour of their posthumous promotions.
