MultiChoice Ghana has provided clarity on the new value-enhancement DStv packages announced by the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George.
Sam George on Monday, September 29, 2025 announced the new DStv packages which will offer subscribers 33% to 50% more value depending on the package of bouquet being used which was to take effect from October 1, 2025.
However, FAQS published on MultiChoice’s website indicated that the value-added packages announced were only promotion offers to be valid for only three months.
In a statement released on October 1, 2025 to clarify the new DStv package offerings, MultiChoice said “we fully support the joint media statement that was issued by the Honourable Minister, Samuel Nartey George and implementation of same has already commenced.”
MultiChoice added that the joint committee will reconvene in three (3) months to evaluate the impact of the new packages, an exercise which will be periodic.
“There is no restriction on a subscriber’s choice of a bouquet. This offer is available to both existing, returning and new customers from 1st October 2025,” the statement added.
MultiChoice further apologized for any inconvenience and contradiction its FAQs may have caused.
