Barely a month after being released on bail by an Accra circuit court over charges of publication of false news and offensive conduct due to the breach of peace, NPP Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe also known as Abronye DC has been picked up again.
Abronye was rearrested on Wednesday, October 8 and charged with publication of false news with intent to create fear and panic and offensive conduct and has been granted a bail of GHC1million with two sureties.
This will be the second time the NPP Bono Regional Chairman is being arrested in a span of three weeks.
The NPP Bono Chairman reportedly alleged on radio that a Police officer received money from former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong after he was arrested and prosecuted in September.
Abronye has since met the bail conditions and been released from the custody of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.
He will be arraigned before a court during the week to face the charges in this matter.
Meanwhile the NPP Bono Regional Chair is set to reappear before the Accra Circuit Court on October 27 for his first case in relation to the Inspector General of Police.
