The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has announced that a massive rainstorm is moving westward from Nigeria and Benin toward Ghana today, Sunday, October 12, 2025.
The High-Impact Weather Warning, according to GMet, is expected to produce a storm that will unleash intense thunderstorm, heavy rainfall and strong winds across several regions, with a high risk of flooding in low-lying areas.
Issued at 0000 UTC and valid from 0130 UTC, the alert urges the public to take safety precautions immediately as the severe weather system advances.
