A TV3 Talented Kids finalist, Nicholas Yayra Akoto artistically known as Classical Boy, has launched ‘Lifting Others Foundation.’
The historical launching which took place on Saturday 6th December, 2025 at the Tomreik Hotel, Accra was chaired by renowned businessman, philanthropist, politician and Head Pastor of Expressed Glory Ministries, Benjamin K Danso.
The twelve years old pianist and finalist of the TV3 Talented Kids Season 16, says he was motivated by the plight of the vulnerable people he encounters daily to establish the Lifting Others Foundation (LOF) to assist and empower them.
“Growing up, lots of people came to our house asking for help because my mother is an assembly member. Some needed food, others needed money for school fees among others. But one thing hit hard – someone brought banku and asked for stew, and I wondered why they couldn’t afford stew. It really made me sad. That’s when I knew I wanted to help” Classical Boy stated in his speech.
He added, “I love playing the keyboard, and one day, I approached my mom with an idea. “Mommy, since I know how to play the piano, why don’t you organize piano recitals for me? People will come and listen, and we can raise funds to support the less privileged.” She made it happen, and the Lifting Others Foundation was born – turning melodies into hope.”
The Public Relations Officer of Lifting Others Foundation, Eva Owusu Koranteng disclosed that over the years, the foundation has been supporting young students with stationery and learning materials, providing cash donations to the elderly, and donating to orphanage homes and giving back to the society.
“We have built a bridge and waterway for the good people of Tsuimami; and let’s not forget the community information center we mounted for a local community to help them access information. The aim of the LOF is to create a society where everyone has the chance to thrive, and live in dignity and purpose,” Owusu Koranteng stated.
Special Guest of Honor of the occasion, former Ambassador to China and the regional conflict resolution chairman for the National Democratic Congress, His Excellency Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah entreated the Lifting Others Foundation to be focused and stay loyal to the course of uplifting the vulnerable in society.
The occasion was also graced by the 2025 Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Queen Isabella Etornam Gagblezu among several others. The Lifting Others Foundation (LOF) presented cash amounts to members of the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled and a sewing machine to Sandra Abam to mark the historic launch.
