Electorates in the Ayawaso East Constituency of the Greater Accra Region have voted to elect a representative to the 9th Parliament.
The election became necessary because the incumbent, Nasser Toure Mahama died in January this year.
The Electoral Commission in line with provisions of the 1992 Constitution slated March 3 to elect a replacement.
The poll started at 7:00am and ended at 5:00pm.
Turnout was reported to be very low.
Currently, counting is underway.
