The government flagship programme Adwumawura by National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has trained 200 youth in the Western North Region for five weeks.

This programme was to help train entrepreneurs on how to create and manage their own businesses to improve private sector and also to create sustainable jobs in order to reduce youth unemployment in the country

The training has benefited every district in the region and so many youth in the region. NEIP and Government of Ghana took care of all the training expenditure.

Mr. Jacob Adu, Regional Director for NEIP said a team from Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment together with NEIP visited the region on 4th March 2026 for a successful pitching process.

Ninety people were selected for pitching, that is to justify their business plans, proposal and ideas to qualify for a grant.

Mr. Adu said NEIP is ready to assist all youth in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
