The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Grace Ansah-Akrofi, has urged the public to remain security conscious and report any suspicious activities as Easter celebrations intensify at Kwahu and across the country.

Speaking to the media at Mpraeso on April 3, she noted that timely reporting would enable the police to respond swiftly to incidents.

“We urge everyone to be law abiding and security conscious. If you see any suspicious activity, speak to a police officer or report to the nearest police station to enable us act accordingly,” she said.

On security arrangements for the Kwahu Easter festivities, DCOP Ansah-Akrofi stated that patrol teams and personnel have been deployed across communities and event locations to ensure safety and maintain law and order.

“We are working with citizens to ensure security, law and order. Our personnel are present in all communities and event locations,” she added.

A total of 1,500 police officers have been deployed by the Ghana Police Service for this year’s Kwahu Easter and Paragliding Festival.

She further disclosed that the Inspector General of Police and members of the Police Management Board visited the area to assess the effectiveness of the deployment.

“The IGP and some members of the Police Management Board have been on the ground to ensure that the deployment is effective as planned. So far, everything is on course, and our officers are actively patrolling,” she said.
