Ms Nancy lit up the conversation with a vibrant and infectious energy during her appearance on TV3’s The Afternoon Show with Godwin Namboh.
She set the tone with a powerful declaration of inner joy.
“I’m filled with joy. The smile you see is joyful and that is intrinsic,” she said. “No matter what is happening around me, I have a belief system… whether I go through fire or rain, my God will be with me. I’m feeling awesome.”
From the very beginning, she made it clear that her joy is deeply rooted and not dependent on circumstances. She explained that even when life gets difficult, she chooses gratitude, emphasising that “bad times don’t last,” and that perspective keeps her grounded.
Ms Nancy also spoke about being intentional with her emotional well-being. “I know my emotional capabilities, so there is certain information I don’t hold on to,” she shared, stressing the importance of being mindful of what one consumes mentally. According to her, anyone seeking happiness must be careful about the kind of information they take in.
On relationships, she noted that “intentional living is outgrowing certain people,” encouraging people to surround themselves with those who bring positivity and good energy. She added that creating a healthy personal environment—through nature, music, or quiet moments—can greatly impact one’s state of mind. “Music is not just for entertainment but therapy as well,” she said.
She also highlighted self-awareness and confidence, explaining that “confidence is knowing all that you are without thinking you are better than other people,” while stressing the importance of respect in how we treat others.
Acknowledging that life isn’t always perfect, she pointed out that “everyone goes through a period of anxiety and panic,” but maintaining the right mindset is key. Drawing a clear distinction, she said, “Joy is intrinsic, and happiness is external.”
Through it all, Ms Nancy encouraged intentional living, self-reflection, and protecting one’s peace—reminding listeners that true joy comes from within, regardless of life’s circumstances.
