Spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, Richmond Rockson, has said that the government remains committed to investing in reliable, efficient and sustainable energy infrastructure.
He makes the point that the investment is to support national development and improve service delivery for all Ghanaians.
He said this, announcing that the Energy Minister Dr. John Jinapor would be inspecting ongoing power projects in Kumasi today, Friday, May 8.
Dr Jinapor is embarking on a working tour of critical power infrastructure projects in Kumasi as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen electricity supply and improve energy delivery across the country.
The tour will include inspections of the transformer upgrade and replacement programme at the Ridge Substation, the Anwomaso–Boadi–Kaase and Anwomaso–Airport transmission line projects, as well as visits to AKSA and CENIT facilities.
Richmond Rockson said that the Minister will also engage general and district managers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and later brief the media on the progress of ongoing interventions within the power sector.
