The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the murder of Indian national, Devendra Singh.

This brings the number of suspects arrested to four.

The Indian national was found dead on April 26, 2026 with multiple stab wounds in the boot of his vehicle that had been abandoned at the outskirt of Sabin Akrofuom near Royal Lemosey Hospital in the Ashanti region.

Addressing the press on Friday, May 8, Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, said following days of sustained intelligence operations in Kumasi, on April 29 and April 30, 2026, three suspected were arrested.

The have been identified as Osman Moro, also known as Tiago, 20, Hakim Kudjoe Jnr, and Moro Sulley, alias Moro Aboboyaa.

She explained that the latest arrests followed the earlier apprehension of suspect John Adokpo, also known as Peter.

Police investigations revealed that Hakim Kudjoe Jnr admitted involvement in the crime and told investigators that on April 24, he went to the deceased’s workplace and replaced the CCTV camera server with the assistance of Moro Sulley.

He later led investigators to the location where the CCTV server had been hidden and retrieved.

According to the police, Hakim Kudjoe Jnr also confessed to taking the deceased’s iPhone 17 Pro Max and a Tecno mobile phone after the murder.

He said the iPhone was handed over to Osman Moro at Kaase, while the Tecno phone was given to Moro Sulley.

Osman Moro subsequently led police officers to a nearby bush where the iPhone had been buried in a hole and concealed with leaves inside a brown envelope.

ACP Ansah-Akrofi further disclosed that Moro Sulley was identified as the individual who assisted in replacing the CCTV server at the victim’s workplace.

Investigators also said suspect John Adokpo admitted to driving the deceased’s vehicle to the location where it was abandoned.

“All the suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, while efforts are ongoing to arrest two other persons believed to be connected to the case,” ACP Ansah-Akrofi stated.

Police say the exhibit recovered including the CCTV server, iPhone 17 Pro Max and Tecno Phone have been retained for evidential purpose.

According to the police, efforts are underway to arrest two other persons in connection with case.
