President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Dr Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings as Minister designate for Environment, Science and Technology.
This was c ontained in a press release issued by the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on August 7.
The Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has also been nominated to the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
The Works and Housing Minister Kenneth Gilbert Adjei has been reassigned to Ministry of Defense and Ahmed Ibrahim also moved from the Local Government Ministry to Works, Housing and Water Resources.
Dr Zanetor and Mahama Ayariga’s nominations fill the void created by the death of Dr Edward Omane-Boamah and Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed on August 6, 2025 in a helicopter crash.
