A New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Asante Mampong constituency, Beatrice Owarewaa Siaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa, has reportedly died.
A source close her, according to Asaase News, says she died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, the circumstances surrounding her death is not known yet.
The late Nana Yaa Siaw was a businesswoman and philanthropist who had been actively campaigning to represent the NPP in the Asante Mampong Constituency in the 2028 parliamentary elections.
As part of her political campaign, she had outlined plans focused on industrialisation, job creation and youth empowerment.
According to her, developments she had made in the constituency is part of her commitment to the development of the area.
Both the family and the NPP are yet to issue a statement on her demise as at the time this report was being filed.
