Reports reaching 3news indicate that Dr. Dramani Bukari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has passed away.
He is said to have died in London on August 11, 2026.
Although an official statement is yet to be issued by the family or the NPA, 3news sources said Dr Bukari died after a short illness.
Through posts on their social media platforms, some government officials and other members of the ruling National Democratic Government have confirmed the sad news.
Brief Profile
Dr. Bukari held an MSc in Energy Economics (Distinction) and a Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy Technologies. Until his appointment to the NPA Dr. Bukari was the Director of Entrepreneurship, Partnerships, and Investments at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC).
He had tremendous experience in the energy section including energy systems, petroleum pricing and petroleum taxation.
He was also a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Standards Authority.
