The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kessben Group of Companies, Stephen Kwabena Boateng, Esq. also known as Kwabena Kesse or Kessben, has died, on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

His death has sent shockwaves across Ghana’s business, media and political communities, with tributes expected to pour in from individuals and institutions that interacted with him throughout his career.

According to the company’s profile available at the Registrar General’s Department, he is the sole shareholder of Kessben FM Limited, a company under which his Media businesses ( Kessben TV, Aseda TV, Kessben FM ) are all registered.

He is also holds majority shares in Multi Credit Savings and Loans Ltd.

His passing marks a significant loss to Ghana’s business community and to the many people who knew and worked with him.

As CEO of Kessben Group of Companies, Mr Boateng played an important role in steering the affairs of the group and overseeing its business operations.

The Kessben brand has over the years established a strong presence in Ghana, with its activities extending beyond commerce into areas that have had an impact on employment, enterprise development and the wider socio-economic landscape.

Mr Boateng’s professional career was also distinguished by his legal background, with the title Esq. reflecting his standing as a lawyer.
