An Accra-based youth centred organization, Bright Senyo Dey Foundation has come-up with a vision to empower not only the Asogli youth but the entire youth groups in the Volta Region with business centred skills, education and care giving.

The Founder and leader of the Foundation, Bright Senyo Dey who outlined reasons behind such moves to empower the youth with workable skills noted that the Asogli youth over the years have been relegated to the background by the powers that be as many of these youth groups clamour for non-existing white colour jobs in the Asogli traditional area and beyond.

Senyo Dey made this announcement at the official launch of the Foundation in Ho as part of his contribution towards the growth of Asogli Development agenda and also to give back to society what he earned from in his youthful age.

These youth centred move according to the Founder revolves round four main core values that include, dignity, excellence, transparency and collaboration to ensure sustainability of the Foundation’s plans.

Mr. Senyo Dey said based on these four thematic values, Bright scholarship scheme, skills training in Arts and Design, masonry and carpentry and other artisanal trade, health outreach programmes, mental health awareness creation and community empowerment are all a package to bring smiles to the faces of these vulnerable youth groups.

He disclosed that the physically challenged, including the visually and hearing-impaired persons would actively be part of activities of the Foundation.

Senyo Dey stressed that the package for the youth is well structured such that they would be taken through not only the skills training as spelt out earlier, but they enjoy periodic counseling to meet international standards as their foreign partners are committed to changing their living standards.

He appealed to the youth to therefore be of good behavior and refrain from alcohol and hard drugs intake, indulgence in occultism among other bad practices to fit in the package the Foundation has for them.

The Secretary and Leading member of the Foundation, Maxwell Boaka stressed that the Foundation is committed and prepared to empower the Asogli youth groups with the needed employable skills to assume responsible positions in society and also give back to the society.

Mr. Boaka appealed to all and sundry in the Asogli Traditional Area to support the Foundation by encouraging the youth to avail themselves and benefit from the Foundation’s positive moves for them.

According to him, the core values of the Foundation and its pillars are geared towards ensuring that the vulnerable youth are not left out in the decision-making process of the Asogli Traditional Area.

To usher in the Foundation’s action plan, a friendly football match between Asogli Eleven and Accra Best Dreams Academy was organized to officially launch the Foundation to give meaning to its core values and also in support of Asogli Development agenda.
