The Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama, has hinted at a reshuffle of chief executives of state institutions in the coming weeks.
This is contained in a notice issued to all Ministers on September 2 sighted by 3news.
“Ministers are hereby reminded of the President’s firm resolve to maintain discipline, accountability and effective leadership across all sectors of Government.
The recent ministerial changes and the dissolution of selected boards, together with the impending reshuffle of Chief Executives
The President’s Secretary added that, “The President expects all Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Chief Executives, Board members and other political appointees to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence, humility and respect for established administrative procedures.
He warned that, “Conduct that undermines governmental cohesion, institutional authority or the effective implementation of Government policy will not be tolerated.”
Mr Mahama reminded all appointees that public office is a privilege and an opportunity to serve the Ghanaian people.
“Performance across all sectors will continue to be assessed, and the President will take any further action necessary to safeguard the integrity, effectiveness and responsiveness of his Administration,” he stressed.
He urged all appointees to cooperate “and commit as we work together to deliver the Government’s mandate and improve the lives of the Ghanaian people.”
