Samuel Atta Akyea, lawyer for former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene has denied claims circulating on social media that he has abandoned his clients, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, Angela Adjei Boateng and Advantage Solutions Ltd.
In a statement dated September 10, 2026, Atta Akyea described the reports as “wretched and vile propaganda” and said they were false.
“My attention has been drawn to some wretched and vile propaganda circulating on social media that I have abandoned my clients,” he wrote.
Mr Atta Akyea said the reports appeared to have been triggered by allegations that some evidence presented by the prosecution in the case had been alleged to be a fake document.
He explained that the document in question was admitted in evidence without objection before Justice Francis Apangabuno Achibonga, who was sitting as an additional High Court Judge.
According to him, the case involving Mr Adu-Boahene had largely been conducted in the public domain, where, in his view, “lies” had been circulated.
He maintained that the court remained the appropriate forum for determining the facts and legal issues surrounding the case.
“I cannot abandon or disown my client,” Mr Atta Akyea stated.
He said his legal team was currently working on what he described as a “very solid and credible submission of no case”, expressing confidence that the court would ultimately resolve the allegations against his clients.
Mr Atta Akyea further appealed for the matter to be determined on the basis of evidence and the law rather than social media commentary.
