The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the implementer of the EduPack Programme have moved to address growing complaints from parents over delayed deliveries and unresponsive customer service, while denying claims that the initiative is a scam.
EduPack is a school-delivery arrangement that allows parents to have selected boarding essentials delivered directly to their children’s assigned schools, rather than delivering the items themselves. The programme is implemented by Prospectus Ghana Limited.
In recent weeks, some parents have raised complaints about delayed deliveries, unanswered calls, and unresolved concerns with the programme. While many parents and schools say they have received their packages and are satisfied with the service, others report continuing delays and difficulty reaching customer service.
Prospectus Ghana Limited has acknowledged these challenges to a number of affected families and said all outstanding cases are being resolved in real time.
The company has strongly rejected claims that EduPack is a scam or a fraudulent operation. It said payments made through official channels are traceable, and urged the public to report any unauthorised persons found using the EduPack name.
Separately, GES said Free Senior High School (Free SHS) remains in force, and that payment for boarding items delivered through the programme should not be presented to parents as a condition for their children’s school placement or admission. The clarification comes days after GES directed school heads across the country to stop collecting unauthorised fees and levies from parents, amid heightened scrutiny of charges linked to school admission.
Parents with unresolved issues are being encouraged to contact the EduPack Customer Service Centre on 030 804 7934, providing their payment reference, their child’s name, and the assigned school.
The current focus is on completing outstanding deliveries, resolving verified complaints, and restoring public confidence through improved communication and accountability.
