Gospel musicians are often expected to live above reproach, with their faith and public image leaving little room for mistakes. But gospel musician Noble Nketsiah believes that expectation overlooks one important truth: they are human too.
For Noble, being a minister of the gospel does not make anyone immune to weakness, temptation or difficult moments.
Speaking on Tv3’s The Afternoon show on October 14,2026, the musician said gospel artistes should not be viewed as superhumans simply because they have chosen to serve God through their music.
“We are not saints. We are not superhumans. We all make mistakes like every other person,” he said.
He explained that gospel musicians, like everyone else, have their personal convictions and values, but they are not without flaws.
To illustrate his point, Noble Nketsiah referred to biblical figures Judas and Peter, who were close to Jesus yet still failed him, arguing that even people who walk closely with God can falter under certain circumstances.
He urged the public to recognize gospel musicians as human beings who are striving to live by the message they preach, rather than expecting perfection from them.
He further clarified that acknowledging their weaknesses does not mean excusing wrongdoing, but rather, understanding that their calling does not erase their humanity.
