The Ghana Embassy in Burkina Faso has rescued nine Ghanaians, including three females, who were lured into the neighbouring country by Q-NET to participate in a Ponzi scheme.
According to a statement issued by the Embassy, the victims, who hail from different parts of Ghana, were lured into Burkina Faso and recruited to engage in the scheme.
Ghanaian border authorities and security agencies at Paga received the victims who were repatriated on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 and began preparations to reunite them with their families.
The Immigration Service Paga Sector Commander, DCI William Kwame Sabi, who received the victims at his office, urged them to be cautious of opportunities that appear too good to be true.
He also advised them to seek travel advisories from the appropriate authorities before accepting employment offers or travelling abroad.
