The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into the shooting of three persons by suspect Osman Majeed at Barniekrom near Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.
According to a statement from the police, it received information on Tuesday, July 02, 2024, that the suspect had shot three people claiming they were part of a group that had come to attack him.
The statement says the victims of the shooting have died at the time the police visited the scene, and conveyed the bodies of the deceased persons to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Exhibits retrieved from the scene include one motorbike, 8 spent cartridges and four cutlasses.
In a statement, the Police disclosed that efforts are underway to locate suspect Osman Majeed who is currently at large.
“We wish to urge members of the community to remain calm as investigation into the incident continues to get the perpetrator arrested to face justice.”
