Accra Lions beat Goldstars 2-0 to close in on Top 4; result moves Hearts up

Accra Lions beat Bibiani Goldstars SC 2-0 in their Matchday 26 game of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Goals from Yahaya Mohammed and Daniel Kwame Awuni in each half of the game ensured that the Accra-based side moved from the eighth position to fifth position on the log.

The result sees the Western North side dropping from ninth to 10th while it moved Accra Hearts of Oak up the log, from 10th to ninth.

The match completes the Week 26’s fixtures, which saw FC Samartex 1996 extend their lead on the log.
