Ghanaian Afrobeats dancers, Afronitaa and Winner of TV3’s Talented Kidz, Abigail Dromo secured the third place spot at the Season 17 of Britain’s Got Talent.

The finals of the competition were held on Sunday, May 2, 2024 in London, UK. Despite not being able to win the ultimate prize, the duo have been phenomenal from the scratch of the competition and have incessantly wowed the Judges with incredible performances.

Their significant achievement – advancing to the finals caught the attention of many Ghanaians who praised the duo for the global recognition for Ghana.

“Thrilling us in 3rd place is…Abigail & Afronitaaa. You should be so incredibly proud of all you’ve achieved, congratulations!” Britain’s Got Talent posted on its Instagram page.

In addition to advancing their careers, their triumph on BGT has significantly increased awareness of Ghanaian dance and culture worldwide.

Their journey on the competition has been a testament to their hard work, dedication and passion to elevate their careers and both will continue to be an inspiration to young ones.

Social media fans have flooded the digital space with congratulatory messages for the dancers for their achievement and the worldwide attention given to Ghanaian culture.

They were officially announced as semifinalists in the Britain’s Got Talent on Thursday, May 30.

The talented dancers sailed through to the finals of the competition after an awesome semi-final performance last Thursday night.

Afronitaa and her protege, Abigail have made Ghanaians proud who have already begun flooding social media with congratulatory messages rooting for a win of the prize in the finals of the competition.

About month ago, both dancers received a standing ovation after wowing Ghanaians and audience at the BGT with an exceptional performance during their audition.

Their video instantly went viral, inspiring pride and enthusiasm among Ghanaians and subsequently sailing through the next stage of the competition with another excellent performance with Fuse ODG’s ‘Antenna’ song.

Afronitaa recently opened her dance academy to teach aspiring young dancers while her partner, a deaf dancer, seven-year-old Abigail won Talented Kid’s season 14 with her extraordinary talent.
