President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, are the two most dangerous persons every Ghanaian should avoid according to John Dramani Mahama.
He says the two leaders have not been truthful to Ghanaians over the years since their actions and words have always been parallel.
According to Mahama, President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia have not been consistent with their words and Ghanaians should avoid them because leaders whose words cannot be trusted are dangerous.
John Mahama, speaking to some constituents of Saboba as part of his tour to the Northern region Tuesday, October 29, 2024, said if the President and the Vice President tell you something, you need to crosscheck before responding to them because they could be lying to you.
“The most dangerous person we should avoid is a person who says one thing and does another thing, one who says something today and says something else tomorrow, a person whose words you cannot trust. And in leadership, it is critical that you should be able to trust the words of your leader.
“Unfortunately the current crop of leaders we have, Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia, you cannot trust anything they say. And as A.B.A. Fuseini said and I’ll pay the copyright for this, he said if they greet you in the morning, look at the sun before you answer,” he stated.
John Mahama further used the opportunity to plead with residents of Bawku to choose peace instead of conflict.
“Recently I’ve been hearing some things happening in Bawku that appear to be threatening to disturb the peace there. I want to appeal to the people of Bawku area and all those who are stakeholders there to exercise patience, restraint,” he pleaded.
The former President shared his insinuation of some sinister persons who are fueling the conflict in the area in their interest. He called on the people to remain calm, assuring them that an incoming NDC government will ensure peace prevails in Bawku and its environs.
“We know that there are some sinister hands who are trying to stoke the fires of ethnic conflict. They should not allow themselves to be provoked to violence and so please, the people of Bawku area I’m begging you, I’m pleading with you, remain calm, be restraint, don’t resort to conflict.
“NDC is coming, when we come, we’ll make sure there is peace in Bawku and surrounding areas,” he stated.
