The incumbent President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr Albert Dwumfour has retained his position.
He won the presidential election of the GJA held on June 30 with 64% of the votes, while his only contender, Mr Charles Mawusi secured 36%.
Mr Dwumfour campaigned on his record for the past 3 years and the message seemed to have resonated with members of the Association.

The Chairman of the Elections Planning Committee, Mr Peter Martey Agbeko expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for a successful poll.
“On behalf of this committed team, I am pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 2025 National and Regional Executive Elections of the Ghana Journalists Association, conducted peacefully and credibly across the nation,” he said.
He congratulated the winners and wished the losers better luck next time.
“We extend heartfelt congratulations to all elected candidates. Your victory is a call to service. To those who were not successful — your courage to step forward is commendable. We urge you to stay involved. The GJA needs your voice and your commitment.
“The elections are over. Let us now close ranks, build bridges, and move forward in unity under the leadership of our new executives,” Mr Agbeko stated.
