A former President of TEIN, Albert Davids Vodzi, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to allow the Chief Executive Officer of the Gold Board (GoldBod) to focus on his national assignment.
According to him, recent attacks on Sammy Gyamfi are aimed at distracting him from the critical role he is playing in stabilising the economy.
“Comrade Sammy Gyamfi has served our great party with courage, competence and unmatched dedication, from opposition to power. His leadership at GoldBod is anchored on transparency, accountability and national interest, ensuring Ghana derives maximum benefit from its gold resources,” he said in an interview.
He noted that, “We have noted with concern the unwarranted attacks and deliberate attempts by our political opponents to discredit his work and distract him from his national mandate. We reject these attacks in their entirety. They are politically motivated, baseless, and lack merit.”
Mr Vodzi stated that, “At a time when Ghana is on the path to prosperity and our economy is defying their failed logic and theories, our opponents are in pain. They never believed Ghana could recover so quickly. What they fail to understand is that in the NDC, we put our nation first before our party, while they do the opposite.
The attacks on Comrade Sammy Gyamfi and GoldBod are nothing but cheap propaganda. We will not allow our detractors to distract a man who is executing a vital national assignment with integrity and patriotism.”
The former TEIN President called for the full support of every well-meaning Ghanaian.
“We stand with him. We trust his leadership. And we urge him to remain focused and resolute. We call on all comrades to rally solidly behind our own and ignore the cheap propaganda of our opponents.
