Albert Amoah announced his return from injury as he scored in the second half to give Asante Kotoko a 2-0 away win over Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League.
Since Amoah’s injury lay-off, the Porcupine Warriors had gone four games without a win, their last coming on Sunday, October 20 against FC Samartex.
Therefore, the trek to Dormaa on Matchday 12 was to end the streak.
And just as planned for the visitors, Patrick Asiedu’s freekick in the 12th minute gave them the needed booster.
They pressed to double the lead but that only came in the second half courtesy Amoah, who extends his goal-scoring run to six.
The results come as a relief to coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, who says he is approaching the next game against archrivals Hearts of Oak.
