Former World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been involved in a car crash on the Ogun-Lagos expressway.
Police confirmed the accident, which resulted in the death of two people, with Joshua said to have sustained “minor” injuries.
The British heavyweight boxer, 36,has family roots in Sagamu, a town in Ogun State, south-west Nigeria.
The victims of Monday morning’s accident were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the survivors have been receiving treatment.
Joshua is said to be “fine”.
Barely, a fortnight ago, Anthony Joshua stopped Jake Paul in a bout at Miami’s Kaseya Center.
