The National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has said the Vice President and flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NDC) has no clue to solving Ghana’s unemployment challenge.
He says the Vice President, despite being presented to Ghanaians as being deep in issues of the economy, has failed to implement any intervention to avert the economic mess his own administration has put the nation through.
Sammy Gyamfi, who was speaking on Bawumia’s deviation from issues on the economy to concentrate on a supposed digitalisation and launching of apps, accused him of only dancing off beat to trending songs without having any remedy for the economic turmoil and its accompanying unemployment in the country.
He labelled him as someone who goes around to have fun through dancing without paying any attention to the real issues for which Ghanaians voted for them.
“Apart from Bawumia dancing off beat to ‘Ɔwɔ sisi fiaa no bi‘, has he announced even one [policy] as a solution to unemployment?” he asked whilst speaking on the KeyPoints on TV3 Saturday, November 23, 2024.
He added that John Mahama has introduced policies that will alleviate the unemployment challenge to save the economy.
“John Mahama’s solution is 24-hour economy, John Mahama’s solution to unemployment, Women’s Development Bank, National Apprenticeship Programmes, Pharma Service Centres and Farm Banks,” he added.
Sammy Gyamfi also asked what Dr. Bawumia has been able to do to solve the unemployment challenge in the country after being in office for 8 years.
He entreated Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama on December 7 since he has what it takes to take Ghana out of the mess the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has taken the nation into, citing his infrastructure track-record, amid bequeathing a stronger economy where the dollar was only GHC4.00, unlike today where it is almost GHC17.00.
